What Is Twitter Video Downloader?
This is a free web tool that lets you download videos from public tweets or X posts and save them as MP4. There’s nothing to install, no account to create, and no hidden limits. If a post is public and accessible by URL, you can fetch the video in just a few clicks.
How to Use the Downloader (Quick Start)
1) Copy the tweet/X post URL containing the video.
2) Paste the URL into the field above.
3) Click Download and choose the available quality (SD/HD).
4) Save the MP4 to your device. On desktop: right-click → Save video as…. On mobile: tap & hold → Download.
Download on iPhone & iPad (iOS)
Open this page in Safari. Copy the tweet/X link from the Twitter/X app (Share → Copy Link) and paste it here. Tap Download, then tap the video preview to bring up the menu and choose Download. On iOS 13+, files go to the Files → Downloads folder by default. If Safari tries to play the video, tap & hold the video and pick Download Linked File.
Download on Android
Use Chrome or your preferred browser. Copy the tweet/X link, paste it into the field, and tap Download. When the video opens, long-press and choose Download video. The file typically saves to Internal storage → Downloads or your browser’s default download folder. You can then move it to your Gallery if needed.
Download on Windows PC
In Chrome, Edge, or Firefox, paste the tweet/X URL and click Download. When the MP4 is ready, right-click the video and select Save video as…. Choose a folder (e.g., Downloads) and confirm. If your browser opens the file in a new tab, use the same right-click action to save it locally.
Download on Mac (macOS)
In Safari or Chrome on Mac, paste the tweet/X link and click Download. When the preview loads, Control-click (or two-finger click on trackpad) and choose Download Video or Save Video As…. Files are saved to your Downloads folder by default. You can add them to Photos or iMovie later if you want to edit.

- MP4 output with original audio
- HD options (720p/1080p) when available
- Mobile & desktop compatible (iOS, Android, Windows, Mac)

Supported Formats & Quality
Videos are delivered as MP4, the most compatible format across devices. Quality depends on what’s available for the specific post—typically SD and HD (up to 1080p). If a tweet contains multiple videos, you can pick from the available sources. For GIFs and images, please use our dedicated tools.
Troubleshooting & Tips
- Video plays instead of downloading: On desktop, right-click the video and choose Save video as…. On mobile, tap & hold and select Download.
- Unsupported link: Ensure the URL points to a public tweet/X post, not a private/protected account or DM.
- Audio missing: Some clips on X are posted as silent loops; if the source has no audio, the MP4 will be silent.
- Multiple videos in one post: After fetching, select the variant you need (e.g., higher resolution).
Privacy & Safety
Your downloads are processed on demand. We don’t require login and we don’t store your personal data or download history. Videos are fetched directly from publicly accessible sources on Twitter/X when you request them.
Fair Use & Copyright
Please download responsibly. Only save videos that you own, that are licensed to you, or where you have explicit permission from the rights holder. Do not redistribute copyrighted material without authorization. Our tool is for personal/educational use and does not host any media files.
How This Helps
Creators, educators, and social media managers use this tool to save their own clips, archive content for offline review, add captions/subtitles, or reference public videos in commentary and analysis. Because output is MP4, you can easily organize files, edit them, or embed them in presentations.
