What Is Twitter to MP4?
It’s a lightweight web tool that converts public Twitter/X videos into MP4, the most compatible video format across devices and editors. There’s nothing to install and no account to create. If a tweet/X post is public and accessible by URL, you can fetch an MP4 version in seconds.
How to Convert Twitter/X to MP4 (Quick Start)
1) Copy the tweet or X post URL that contains the video.
2) Paste it into the input box above.
3) Click Convert to MP4 and choose the available quality (SD/HD).
4) Save the MP4 file: on desktop, right-click → Save video as…; on mobile, tap & hold → Download.
Why Save as MP4?
- Universal compatibility: MP4 plays on iPhone, Android, Windows, Mac, smart TVs, and most apps.
- Editor-friendly: Drop MP4 into iMovie, CapCut, Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, or PowerPoint without conversion.
- Balanced size/quality: H.264 MP4 keeps quality high while keeping file size manageable.
iPhone & iPad (iOS) Instructions
Open this page in Safari. In the Twitter/X app, use Share → Copy Link. Paste here and tap Convert to MP4. After processing, tap the video preview to open the menu and choose Download. On iOS 13+, the file appears in Files → Downloads. If Safari plays the video instead of saving, tap & hold the video and choose Download Linked File.
Android Instructions
Use Chrome (or your preferred browser). Copy the tweet/X link, paste it, and tap Convert to MP4. When the video opens, long-press and choose Download video. Files typically save to Internal storage → Downloads. Move to your Gallery if needed.
Windows PC Instructions
In Chrome/Edge/Firefox, paste the tweet/X URL and click Convert to MP4. When the MP4 preview loads, right-click and select Save video as…, then choose your Downloads folder. If the file opens in a new tab, use the same right-click action to save locally.
Mac (macOS) Instructions
In Safari or Chrome, paste the link and click Convert to MP4. When the video appears, Control-click (or two-finger click) and choose Download Video / Save Video As…. The file goes to Downloads. You can import it into Photos or any editor afterwards.
Supported Quality & Audio
Output is MP4 with the best quality that the original post provides (commonly SD and HD up to 1080p). If the source includes audio, your MP4 will include it. Some short clips or looped posts may be silent by design; in those cases the MP4 will also be silent.
Tips & Troubleshooting
- Video plays instead of downloading: On desktop, right-click → Save video as…. On mobile, tap & hold → Download.
- Invalid or unsupported link: Make sure it’s a public tweet/X post URL, not a private/protected account or DM.
- Multiple videos in one post: After fetching, select the variant you want (e.g., higher resolution).
- Audio missing: If the original clip has no audio, the MP4 will be silent.
